The Racibórz parish of the Mother of God is located in Stara Wieś, once a separate settlement, which today lies with the within the city. The local Baroque church, dating from the first half of the eighteenth century, is best known as the Shrine of Our Lady of Racibórz, whose miraculous image is a destination of many pilgrims. Apart from other groups of believers, every year the sanctuary is traditionally visited by eighteen pilgrimages from the neighboring parishes.
