Lubomia is a place where you can find a relatively well-preserved ramparts and moats, which are remnants of the stronghold of Golensizi. Golensizi was a Slavic tribe. In the early Middle Ages, they lived at the present Polish-Czech border, in the south of Upper Silesia, occupying the area between the range of Jesioniki in the Sudeten and the Silesian Beskid. The tribe had several strongholds, one of which was located in what is now Lubomia.
