Wielikąt is the name of a picturesque complex of ponds, which is under protection as a nature and landscape reserve falling at the same time as the protection of nature and landscape reserve. This area, which is a haven of wild birds, is located in the commune of Lubomia. The creation of this complex 1993 was the result of many years of efforts of naturalists, including those from the Upper Silesian Ornithological Circle and the Polish Society of Nature's Friends "Pro Natura".
