Stożek (Cone) is a mountain in the Silesian Beskid. It is
also called Wielki Stożek (Big Cone), as opposed to the
nearby Mały Stożek (Little Cone). Stożek is 978 meters
high. Its peak is popular among tourists of the Silesian
Beskid, which is located in the range of Czantoria and
Stożek. Today, it marks the Polish and Czech border. A
network of hiking trails makes it possible to reach the
top from the nearby town of Wisła, from Istebna, as
well as from the other side of the border. A mountain
hostel, which has been operating here for a century,
contributes significantly to the popularity of the
mountain. On its slopes there is a famous ski resort.
