The faithful of the Lutheran Church have always constituted the majority of the inhabitants of Wisła. So it was at the turn of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, when the first settlers came to the area of Barania Góra. So it is at the beginning of the 21st century. The main center of life of the congregation in the oldest part of Wisła is the church of Apostles Peter and Paul, which belongs to the Evangelical-Augsburg parish embracing the town center. The historic church of the nineteenth century is accompanied by a former rectory and school.
