The church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Piekary Śląskie is located in Brzeziny Śląskie, the youngest district of the city. This is a large, brick building with lots of stone finishing elements. The sanctuary was built during the difficult years of the First World War, according to the design drawn up by Ludwig Schneider. He gave the church a neo-Romanesque-Gothic shape. Stylistically, the interior is not homogeneous, either.
