Cieszyn – one of the most beautiful centers of South Poland, whose rich history has left behind a large number of different historical buildings and monuments. While sightseeing the town, you must visit Castle Mount (Góra Zamkowa) with a Romanesque rotunda (11th century) – one of the oldest Polish sanctuaries. Next to it stands the Last Defense Tower (13th century) and the Piast (Dynasty) Tower (Wieża Piastowska), (14th century), which offers a vista of the town and the Beskidy Mountains. In lieu of the lower castle, in the 1st half of the 19th century there was built the Habsburgs’ Hunting Residence (Pałac Myśliwski Habsburgów). There is also, in the city, a ski lift "Cieślarówka".
