The village of Rudy, located amid forests, had been the seat of the order of Cistercians since the middle of the 13th century. In the years 1897–1903 a narrow-gauge railway (785 mm) Gliwice-Trynek – Racibórz-Płonia was established. After its close-down in 1991, a railway station Rudy with a three-track locomotive depot hall was left, which was transformed into a heritage park of the narrow-gauge railway. The railway station complex consists also of a water tower, single-storeyed utility buildings and a wooden umbrella roof. The exhibits of the heritage park include, among others, locomotives and several railway cars. The heritage park offers rides with a tourist railway on the route Rudy – Paproć – Rudy and Rudy – Stanica – Rudy.
